Job Description:
We are hiring experienced Analog IC Layout Engineers to support advanced technology node designs for global semiconductor clients. This role is based in Malaysia and focuses on FinFET technology and custom analog/mixed-signal layout.
The successful candidate will work closely with design and verification teams to deliver high-quality, DRC/LVS-clean layouts optimized for performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop full-custom layout of analog and mixed-signal IPs (e.g., op-amps, bandgap, LDO, ADC, DAC, PLL, etc.).
• Work with circuit designers to understand schematics, design intent, constraints, and floorplans.
• Execute layout with attention to matching, symmetry, parasitics, shielding, and EM/IR constraints.
• Perform physical verification (DRC, LVS, ERC) using industry-standard tools and resolve any violations.
• Support parasitic extraction and assist in post-layout simulation setup when required.
• Collaborate with global teams across multiple sites and attend layout/design reviews.
• Document layout work and support QA/audit processes.
Requirements:
• 3 to 8 years of hands-on experience in analog/mixed-signal IC layout.
• Proven experience in advanced FinFET nodes (16nm, 14nm, 12nm, 7nm, 5nm, or below).
• Strong expertise in Cadence Virtuoso layout tools.
• Familiarity with verification tools (Assura, PVS, Calibre) and physical verification rules.
• Good understanding of analog layout best practices for noise-sensitive circuits, matching, shielding, and LDE.
• Ability to work independently and deliver quality results under tight timelines.
• Good communication and team collaboration skills.
• Experience supporting global semiconductor clients (US/EU-based projects).
• Knowledge of layout automation using SKILL or Python is a plus.
• Experience in RF, Automotive, IoT, or Power Management IC domains is a plus.
Education:
• Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, or related field.
